
Fred Funk fired a 3-under 69 Sunday to earn a victory at the JELD-WEN Tradition at the Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. The victory was Funk's second at the tournament in the last three years as he also took the title in 2008. The victory also gives Funk his third major title in the last three years. He won the 2009 U.S. Senior Open at Crooked Stick in suburban Indianapolis.
Funk finished the tournament at 12-under 276 for a one-stroke victory over Michael Allen and Chien-soon Lu. Funk took a one-stroke lead over Allen with a 12-foot bridie putt at No. 16 and was able to hold on from there. Tom Lehman, the 54-hole leader, led by as many as two strokes early on before he relinquished his lead for good with a double bogey at No. 7.
Funk's victory was the sixth of his Champions Tour career. He has now won at least one event for five straight years. He earned 784 points in the season-long Charles Schwab Cup raceto move into fourth place in the points race with 1,193.
