David Frost

David Frost fired a final-round 11-under par 61 at the 3M Championship in Blaine, Minn., Sunday to earn his first Champions Tour victory and set a new 3M Championship scoring record. Frost's final score of 25-under 191 bettered the tournament's previous scoring record set in 2008 by R.W. Eaks of 23-under-par 193. The score was good enougn to give Frost a seven-stroke victory over Mark Calcavecchia who shot an 18-under 198.

Frost's performance also tied the Champions Tour 54-hole scoring record 191. set by Bruce Fleisher in 2002 at the Vantage Championship. It was later duplicated by Loren Roberts at the 2006 MasterCard Championship at Hualalai and by Bernhard Langer at the 2007 Administaff Small Business Classic.

Frost started Sunday's final round with two birdies and an eagle. He tied the tournament nine-hole scoring mark with a 7-under-opar 29 on the front nine and then bridied on Nos. 10 and 11. He finished off his round with a 25-foot eagle put on the 18th hole to tie the Champions Tour scoring record.
