Returning in 2026, Folds of Honor Friday, an inspiring new experience for fans, players, sponsors and volunteers at this year’s SAS Championship.
Folds of Honor Friday aims to honor those who guard our freedoms and protect our families, while celebrating America. The event, in tandem with Folds of Honor, helps provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disable military and first responders.
As a result of the SAS Championship’s celebration of Folds of Honor Friday, 13 individuals in the Triangle region will receive academic scholarships on behalf of the tournament.
Military Members & First Responders: All who serve or have served—including active-duty military, veterans, reservists, National Guard members, and current or retired first responders—receive free Grounds Pass admission for themselves and one guest on all three days of championship competition, October 16–18.
To redeem this offer, simply present your valid military, veteran or first responder ID at the admissions gate. Your complimentary guest must enter with you, as guests cannot be admitted separately.
SAS Championship fans are encouraged to wear their red, white and blue on Friday, October 16 as an outward display of unity and an inward commitment to meeting sacrifice with hope for the families of America’s fallen or disable military and first responders.
Play on Friday will start with an enhanced Opening Ceremony, which will include a performance of the National Anthem and the Presentation of Colors.
Following the Folds of Honor Friday ceremony on October 16, military members are invited to participate in a special golf clinic at the SAS Championship. Join us for hands-on instruction and a memorable experience alongside the tournament action.

Our 18th Hole will have an American Flag Pin Flag. Throughout the round of play, local veterans, first responders and Folds of Honor scholarship families will be stationed at the 18th hole, making sure the flag does not hit the ground during play. These heroes will be announced alongside the legends of golf.
The SAS Championship will proudly distribute official Folds of Honor ribbon pins to all fans and volunteers who are at Prestonwood on Friday, Oct. 16.
