Introducing Folds of Honor Friday, an inspiring new experience for fans, players, sponsors and volunteers at this year’s SAS Championship.

Folds of Honor Friday aims to honor those who guard our freedoms and protect our families, while celebrating America. The event, in tandem with Folds of Honor, helps provide educational scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disable military and first responders.

As a result of the SAS Championship’s celebration of Folds of Honor Friday, 13 individuals in the Triangle region will receive academic scholarships on behalf of the tournament.

9 AM – Public Gates Open
9:45 AM – Head to the First Tee to pick up a Ribbon
10 AM – Folds of Honor Opening Ceremony begins
12 PM – Service Members arrive at the 18th Green to Hold the Flag

SAS Championship fans are encouraged to wear their red, white and blue on Friday, October 11 as an outward display of unity and an inward commitment to meeting sacrifice with hope for the families of America’s fallen or disable military and first responders.

Play on Friday will start with an enhanced Opening Ceremony, which will include a performance of the National Anthem and the Presentation of Colors.

Military Members & First-Responders: CPI Security is thrilled to provide military and first responders with complementary tickets to the 2024 SAS Championship. In order to claim your free admission, please show your Military or First Responder ID at the admission gate

Our 18th Hole will have an American Flag Pin Flag. Throughout the round of play, local veterans, first responders and Folds of Honor scholarship families will be stationed at the 18th hole, making sure the flag does not hit the ground during play.  These heroes will be announced alongside the legends of golf.

The SAS Championship will proudly distribute official Folds of Honor ribbon pins to all fans and volunteers who are at Prestonwood on Friday, Oct. 11.
