Now in its fourth year, the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational is a premier event, bringing together top student-athletes from Historically Black Colleges and Universities to compete alongside golf legends.​

At its core, the Invitational is about empowerment and opportunity. Over three competitive rounds, these talented athletes tee it up at the same championship venue as some of golf’s biggest names. The tournament concludes in a one-of-a-kind moment, with the HBCU champions celebrating on the 18th Green alongside the newly crowned PGA Tour Champions SAS Championship winner—each winning team receiving a $10,000 honorarium to support their golf programs.​

Beyond the competition, the impact extends off the course. Career Day at SAS connects student-athletes with the SAS community, offering insights and opportunities for their futures.​

This is the only event of its kind, where HBCU golfers compete at the same time and on the same course as the professionals. The Champions Cookout on Saturday night fosters meaningful connections, bringing together past and future generations of golfers in a relaxed, unforgettable setting.
