WHY SHOULD I VOLUNTEER?

Volunteering for the #SASChampionship is a great way to give back to the community, as the event is committed to giving back to the YMCA of the Triangle. Other benefits include the opportunity to work with family & friends, make new friends and watch some of golf's legends compete right here in the Triangle. There are over 20 Volunteer committees so you are sure to find an activity which appeals to your interests (descriptions are posted on a separate tab). You will also receive a Volunteer Package that is valued over $300, filled with Tournament gear and passes.

WHERE DO I REGISTER TO VOLUNTEER?

You can follow the link below to register to volunteer. If you are a returning volunteer, please log in to TRS using your email and password from 2022. If you cannot remember your password, please use the “Forgot Password” option. All of your information from 2022 will still be in your account and you will not be able to create a new account with an existing email address.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO VOLUNTEER?

The Standard Volunteer package cost is $60.00 which includes a tournament branded golf shift and headwear, a weekly volunteer grounds badge, guest tickets, and the opportunity to golf at Prestonwood Country Club, if you work three or more shifts (Valued at over $300).

HOW MANY DAYS/SHIFTS DO I HAVE TO VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers are encouraged to work at least 3 shifts over the course of Tournament Week. Shifts typically last between 4-6 hours. Days and times may vary depending on the specific committee responsibilities.

DO I NEED TO BE A GOLFER OR HAVE GOLF KNOWLEDGE TO VOLUNTEER?

There are Volunteer opportunities for everyone! We have several committees to choose from that do not require any golf knowledge. Training sessions are provided for committees that require specific duties (It is preferred that Television and Walking Scorer Volunteers have some golf knowledge).

IF I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO VOLUNTEER, WILL I BE ABLE TO RECEIVE A REFUND?

Volunteers will be assigned based on the time they register, however, as we have done in the past, a full refund (if requested) will be available prior to the distribution of volunteer uniforms.
